The Midwest United States Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) Conference convenes annually in May, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among scholars and professionals in the Midwest US involved in information and communications systems and technology.
In 2025, the conference will be held in person on May 16th and 17th in Stillwater, Oklahoma, graciously hosted by the Department of Management Science and Information Systems at Oklahoma State University.
History Of MWAIS
Established in 2006, MWAIS is a distinguished chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), dedicated to advancing the development, management, and utilization of information technology within the region. The states encompassed by this Chapter span Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Throughout its history, the MWAIS conference has drawn contributions from a diverse array of authors, including faculty from computer science, management information systems, and information technology disciplines, alongside industry professionals and Ph.D. candidates. The proceedings of these conferences are archived within the AIS digital library, ensuring their lasting impact and accessibility to scholars worldwide.
